# Profile settings

> Customize your FutureStack profile, photo, bio, links, and interests.

Your FutureStack profile is public. Other users can see your upvoted tools, your stack, and your submitted tools.

## Editing your profile

Go to [usefuturestack.com/profile/edit](https://www.usefuturestack.com/profile/edit) while logged in. You can update:

* **Display name**: shown on your profile and next to your reviews
* **Username**: your profile URL at usefuturestack.com/profile/\[username]
* **Bio**: a short one-liner about yourself
* **Location**: optional, shown on your profile
* **Role tag**: the profession that best describes you
* **Avatar**: upload a profile photo

## Changing your email or password

Go to Settings from your user menu. Enter your current password to confirm any changes.

## What is public on your profile

* Your display name, username, bio, location, and role tag
* Tools you have upvoted
* Tools you have saved to your stack
* Tools you have submitted
* Reviews you have written
