# Upvotes

Upvotes are the heartbeat of FutureStack. They tell us which tools the community finds useful.

## The rules

* One account = one upvote per tool
* Upvotes are public on your profile
* You can remove an upvote at any time by clicking the arrow again

## How rankings use upvotes

Upvotes are weighted by recency, voter reputation, and engagement (reviews, discussions). This prevents single-day spikes from gaming the system.
