FutureStack may earn a commission when you click certain links on the site and go on to sign up for or purchase a tool. This costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go to the tool directly. Commission relationships never affect which tools get approved, how they're ranked, or what our editorial descriptions say. Upvotes come from the community. Curation decisions are made independently of any affiliate or sponsorship arrangement. Tools marked as "Featured" may include an affiliate relationship. This disclosure exists so you always know when that's the case. If you have questions about a specific tool's placement, [contact us](/help/contact). # Community guidelines Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/community/community-guidelines The principles that keep FutureStack helpful, honest, and friendly. FutureStack works because the community is honest. These guidelines exist to keep it that way. ## For users * **Upvote tools you have actually used or found useful.** Upvotes are a trust signal. Mass-upvoting tools you have never tried pollutes rankings for everyone. * **Write honest reviews.** If a tool has problems, say so clearly and specifically. Vague praise is useless. Personal attacks on makers are not allowed. * **Do not create multiple accounts** to upvote your own tools or manipulate rankings. * **No spam in discussions.** Stay on topic. Do not post affiliate links or promotional content in community threads. ## For makers * **Do not ask friends or communities to mass-upvote your tool.** Coordinated upvote campaigns are detected and can result in your listing being removed. * **Keep your listing accurate.** If your pricing changes or a feature is removed, update your listing. * **Do not submit the same tool multiple times** under different names. * **Do not fake reviews.** Creating accounts to leave positive reviews on your own tool is grounds for permanent removal. ## Enforcement Violations are handled in order of severity: 1. Warning and content removal 2. Temporary account suspension 3. Permanent ban and tool delisting To report a violation, email [team.futurestack@gmail.com](mailto:team.futurestack@gmail.com). # Discussions Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/community/discussions Join threaded conversations under any tool listing on FutureStack. Every tool listing has a **Discussions** tab where users and makers can ask questions, share workflows, and trade tips. ## Good discussion topics * "Has anyone used this for X?" * "What's the best alternative for Y?" * "Pricing seems steep: worth it?" Makers are encouraged to participate but should never spam threads or downvote critics. # Moderation guidelines Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/community/moderation-guidelines , - title: "Moderation Guidelines" description: "How FutureStack maintains review quality, prevents spam, and resolves disputes." , - # Moderation Guidelines To ensure FutureStack remains a trustworthy place to discover AI tools, we hold our reviews, discussions, and upvotes to high standards. This guide explains how we moderate content and verify user signals. , - ## 1. Upvote Auditing (Anti-Spam) Our rankings are determined by community upvotes, which makes vote integrity extremely important. We audit votes to prevent manipulation: * **Automatic Filtering**: We use security heuristics to identify and discard upvotes generated by bots, proxy servers, temporary email addresses, or coordinates indicating click farms. * **Fake Accounts**: Upvotes coming from newly created accounts with no profile activity that only vote for a single tool may be flagged and removed. * **No Trading or Buying**: Buying upvotes or participating in vote-trading groups is strictly prohibited. Listings found using these services will be penalized, demoted from rankings, or removed entirely from the marketplace. , - ## 2. Review Moderation Policy We encourage honest feedback, both positive and negative. We do not edit reviews; however, we will remove reviews that violate our community standards. ### Reasons for Review Removal: * **Spam & Promotion**: Reviews containing affiliate codes, links to competing tools, or advertising copy. * **Abuse & Harassment**: Content containing hate speech, direct insults, defamation, or vulgar language. * **Fake/Unverified Reviews**: Reviews submitted in exchange for direct financial payment or reviews written by the tool's own makers/employees using personal accounts. * **Irrelevant Content**: Reviews that do not address the tool's utility (e.g. general web complaints, gibberish characters, or off-topic rants). , - ## 3. Disputing a Review (For Makers) If a review on your tool page is abusive, inaccurate, or written by a competitor: 1. Do not engage in a public argument or launch a counter-attack in the comments. 2. Email us at [team.futurestack@gmail.com](mailto:team.futurestack@gmail.com) with the subject **"Review Dispute: \[Your Tool Name]"**. 3. Provide a link to the review and explain why you believe it violates our guidelines. 4. Our team will review the dispute within 4 business days. If we find it violates our policy, it will be removed. If it is simply a negative user opinion, it will remain, but you are welcome to reply constructively. , - ## 4. Reporting Abuse (For Users) If you spot spam, harassment, or bot accounts: * Click the **Flag** icon next to the review or comment. * Or email us at [team.futurestack@gmail.com](mailto:team.futurestack@gmail.com). Our moderation team monitors flags 24/7 to keep the FutureStack community safe and clean. # Reputation Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/community/reputation How reputation points and badges work on FutureStack. FutureStack does not have a formal points or badges system yet. Trust is built through consistent, honest participation. ## What builds trust * Writing detailed, honest reviews that other users find useful * Upvoting tools you have genuinely tried * Submitting quality tools that get approved * Participating constructively in tool discussions ## What the community sees On your public profile, other users can see your upvoted tools, your saved stack, tools you have submitted, and reviews you have written. This activity history is your reputation. ## Maker trust signals For tool makers, trust comes from: * A complete, honest listing with accurate pricing and descriptions * Responding to reviews and discussions professionally * Keeping the listing updated when pricing or features change ## Future plans A formal reputation and badge system is on the post-launch roadmap. When it launches, existing activity will be counted retroactively. Being an early, honest contributor will count in your favor. If you see someone abusing the community through fake reviews or vote manipulation, report it at [team.futurestack@gmail.com](mailto:team.futurestack@gmail.com). # Reviews & ratings Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/community/reviews-and-ratings Write helpful reviews and understand how ratings work on FutureStack. Reviews help other users make informed decisions. Here's how to write a great one. ## What makes a helpful review * Describe what you used the tool for * Mention specific strengths and limitations * Include a star rating from 1 to 5 * Avoid vague praise or vague hate ## What's not allowed * Reviews of your own tool * Paid or incentivized reviews * Personal attacks on makers See the full [Content Policy](/policies/content-policy) for details. # Upvotes Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/community/upvotes Learn how upvotes power FutureStack rankings and support AI tool makers. Upvotes are the heartbeat of FutureStack. They tell us which tools the community finds useful. ## The rules * One account = one upvote per tool * Upvotes are public on your profile * You can remove an upvote at any time by clicking the arrow again ## How rankings use upvotes Upvotes are weighted by recency, voter reputation, and engagement (reviews, discussions). This prevents single-day spikes from gaming the system. Don't ask friends or bots to mass-upvote your tool, it triggers our spam filters and can get your listing removed. See [Community Guidelines](/community/community-guidelines). # Browse tools Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/discover/browse-tools Explore trending, top-rated, and newly launched AI tools on FutureStack. The FutureStack homepage and Discover page are your starting points for finding AI tools. ## Feed sections Every approved tool gets 7 days of guaranteed visibility here, regardless of upvote count. Check this to stay on top of what just launched. Tools gaining the most upvotes in the last 48 hours. Fast-moving signal of what the community is excited about right now. All-time highest quality tools ranked by upvotes weighted by recency and engagement. The most reliable list for proven tools. One tool hand-picked daily by the FutureStack team. Featured in the homepage sidebar with full visibility all day. ## Sort options Use the sort pills at the top of the feed to change how tools are ordered: * **Popular**: shows Top Rated only, all-time quality score * **Newest**: chronological, most recently approved first * **Trending**: momentum over the last 48 hours ## Tips for better discovery * Use the Role filter to show only tools relevant to your profession * Use the Pricing filter to show only Free or Freemium tools * Save tools you want to revisit later by adding them to your stack * The Discover page at [usefuturestack.com/discover](https://www.usefuturestack.com/discover) gives you a full-width view with more filter options # Categories & tags Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/discover/categories-and-tags How FutureStack organizes tools by category and tag. Every tool on FutureStack belongs to one category and can be tagged with multiple roles. These are the two main ways to filter and discover tools. ## Categories A category is the primary type of AI a tool uses. Each tool has exactly one category. Current categories include: Writing, Coding, Image Generation, Video, Audio, Productivity, Marketing, Research, Data, Design, Education, SEO, Customer Support, HR, Finance, Legal, Sales, Healthcare, Social Media, and Developer Tools. Click any category in the left sidebar or on the category navigation on the homepage to filter the feed. ## Roles A role describes who a tool is most useful for. Each tool can have multiple role tags. Current roles include: Developers, Students, Marketers, Designers, Content Creators, Entrepreneurs, Researchers, HR Teams, and Sales Teams. Use the Role filter to find tools built specifically for your profession. ## How they work together Category and Role filters can be combined. For example, filtering by Coding (category) and Developers (role) shows coding tools built specifically for developers. Filtering by Writing (category) and Students (role) shows writing tools aimed at students. If you are browsing broadly, start with Role. If you already know what type of tool you need, start with Category. # Collections Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/discover/collections Save and share curated lists of AI tools using FutureStack collections. Your stack is your personal collection of saved AI tools on FutureStack. It lives on your public profile and other users can see it. ## Saving a tool When logged in, click the Save button on any tool card or tool page to add it to your stack. Click again to remove it. ## Viewing your stack Go to your profile at [usefuturestack.com/profile/\[username\]](https://www.usefuturestack.com) and click the My Stack tab. All your saved tools appear here in the order you saved them. ## Why your stack is public Your stack is visible to other users. This is intentional. When someone finds your profile through a review or discussion, your stack gives them useful signal about your taste and workflow. Good stacks get followed and shared. ## Tips for a useful stack * Save tools you have actually tried, not just ones that look interesting * Your stack is most useful when it reflects a specific workflow or role * You can save tools across categories to build a full personal toolkit Collections as a separate shareable feature (with custom names and descriptions) is on the post-launch roadmap. For now, your saved stack is your collection. # Compare tools Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/discover/compare-tools Compare AI tools side-by-side on features, pricing, ratings, and platforms. When you are deciding between two or more AI tools, the Related Tools section on any tool page shows similar alternatives matched by category and role. ## What to compare When evaluating tools side by side, look at: * **Pricing badge**: Free, Freemium, Paid, or Free Trial. Check if the free tier covers your actual use case before committing. * **Upvote count**: a rough signal of how many people find it genuinely useful. Higher is generally better, but newer tools will have lower counts regardless of quality. * **Killer feature**: the single standout capability listed on every card. This is often the fastest way to differentiate two similar tools. * **Platforms**: check if the tool runs on the platform you actually use (Web, iOS, Android, API, Chrome Extension). * **Reviews**: read what real users say, especially critical reviews. They reveal limitations that descriptions do not mention. ## Finding alternatives On any tool page, scroll to the Related Tools section. It shows up to 6 tools in the same category and role, so you can quickly see what else exists without going back to the feed. You can also search for a category name like "AI writing tools" to see everything in that space ranked by community signal. If you spot incorrect information on a listing, report it at [team.futurestack@gmail.com](mailto:team.futurestack@gmail.com) and we will fix it. # Search & filters Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/discover/search-and-filters Find the right AI tool fast using FutureStack's search and filter system. FutureStack has two ways to narrow down tools: search and filters. You can use them together. ## Search The search bar is in the top navbar on every page. Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to open it from anywhere. Search works across tool names, descriptions, and categories. Try queries like: * `image generator` * `coding assistant free` * `voice cloning` * `open source LLM` Results appear as you type with a 300ms delay. Press Enter to go to the full search results page at `/search?q=your-query`, which you can bookmark or share. ## Filters Filters live in the left sidebar on the homepage and in the filter bar on the Discover page. You can combine multiple filters at once. **Category**, narrows by the primary type of AI the tool uses. Examples: Writing, Coding, Image Generation, Video, Audio, Productivity, Marketing, Data. **Role**, narrows by who the tool is for. Examples: Developers, Students, Marketers, Designers, Creators, Entrepreneurs. **Pricing**, narrows by pricing tier. Options: Free, Freemium, Paid, Free Trial. **Platform**, narrows by where the tool runs. Options: Web, iOS, Android, API, Chrome Extension. All filters use AND logic. Selecting Free and Developers shows only tools that are both free and tagged for developers. ## Active filters When a filter is active, it appears as an orange pill below the filter bar. Click the X on any pill to remove that filter. Active filters also update the URL so you can share or bookmark a filtered view. Start with the Role filter. It is the fastest way to cut through hundreds of tools and see only what is relevant to your work. # FAQ Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/getting-started/faq Quick answers to the most common questions about FutureStack. ## General **What is FutureStack?** FutureStack is a community-driven AI tools marketplace. FutureStack is powered by a simple loop: makers submit tools, users discover and upvote them, and the best rise to the top. ## The flow Anyone can submit an AI tool for free at [usefuturestack.com/submit](https://www.usefuturestack.com/submit). The submission goes into a review queue. Every submission is manually reviewed within 48 hours. We check that the tool is real, working, and meets our listing standards. No waitlists or vaporware make it through. Approved tools appear in the feed under New This Week. They get guaranteed visibility for 7 days regardless of upvote count. Users upvote tools they find useful. Upvotes combined with reviews and engagement determine where a tool ranks in Trending and Top Rated. Tools with strong community signal stay visible long-term. The feed is not chronological. Quality compounds over time. ## What gets ranked * **Trending**: tools gaining the most upvotes in the last 48 hours * **Top Rated**: all-time highest quality tools, scored by upvotes weighted by recency and engagement * **New This Week**: freshly approved tools guaranteed 7 days of visibility * **Stack of the Day**: one tool hand-picked daily and featured on the homepage ## How the feed works The homepage feed blends all three sections. The first few cards show New This Week, the next show Trending, then Top Rated. This ensures new tools always get a fair shot while proven tools stay visible. When you apply a filter, the feed updates to show only matching tools across all three sections. Want your tool in the feed? Every verified maker gets a free analytics dashboard. ## What you can see * Page views (today, 7d, 30d) * Upvotes over time * Click-throughs to your website * Top referrers (FutureStack home, search, external) * Geographic breakdown of visitors Analytics are aggregated and never expose individual user data. # Badges & verification Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/makers/badges-and-verification How verification works and what each badge on FutureStack means. FutureStack uses a simple verification system to signal that a listing is managed by the actual maker. ## Verified maker badge A verified maker badge appears on a tool page when the listing has been claimed and confirmed by the person or team behind the tool. It tells users that: * The description and pricing are accurate and maintained by the maker * Reviews can receive official responses from the maker * The listing will be updated as the tool evolves ## How to get verified Verification happens automatically when you successfully claim your listing. See [Claim Your Tool](/makers/claim-your-tool) for the full process. If you submitted the tool yourself and were logged in when you did, your listing is already linked to your account. Email [team.futurestack@gmail.com](mailto:team.futurestack@gmail.com) to request the verified badge to be applied. ## Stack of the Day badge Tools that are selected as Stack of the Day receive an embeddable badge they can display on their own website. This badge links back to the tool's FutureStack listing and is a permanent record of the feature. The badge is sent to the maker via email on the day the tool is featured. ## Future badges Additional trust badges (top-rated, editor's pick, community favorite) are on the post-launch roadmap. # Claim your tool Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/makers/claim-your-tool Take ownership of an existing FutureStack listing to manage and respond as the maker. If your tool was listed by a community member before you submitted it yourself, you can claim ownership of that listing. ## How to claim Search for your tool on FutureStack and open the tool page. Send an email to [team.futurestack@gmail.com](mailto:team.futurestack@gmail.com) with the subject line "Claim listing: \[Tool Name]". Include the URL of the listing and proof that you are the maker (your company email, a link to the tool's official website, or social media). We verify your ownership within 48 hours and transfer the listing to your account. You will receive a confirmation email. Once claimed, you can edit all fields, respond to reviews, and update the listing as your tool evolves. ## What you get after claiming * Ability to edit the listing directly * Verified maker badge on your tool page * Access to listing analytics * Ability to respond to reviews as the maker ## My tool is not listed yet If your tool is not on FutureStack at all, go to [Submit a Tool](/submissions/submit-a-tool) instead of claiming. # Getting started Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/makers/getting-started Everything AI tool makers need to launch and grow on FutureStack. Use this checklist 48 hours before go-live. ## 48 hours before * Listing approved and reviewed by a friend for typos * Logo and hero image are sharp on retina screens * Pricing page is up and accurate * Demo link works in an incognito window ## Launch day * Share your FutureStack listing on X, LinkedIn, and your newsletter * Reply to every comment and review within a few hours * Don't beg for upvotes: it backfires ## After launch * Check [Analytics](/makers/analytics) for top sources * Send a thank-you note to early supporters * Plan an update post for one week later # Optimize your listing Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/makers/optimize-your-listing Best practices for writing a FutureStack listing that converts visitors into users. A complete, well-written listing performs dramatically better than a bare minimum one. Here is what to focus on. ## Logo Use a square logo at 512x512px. Avoid text-heavy logos since the icon needs to be recognizable at 50x50px on a tool card. ## Tagline Your tagline is the one line users read before deciding whether to click. It should explain what your tool does, not how it feels. Bad: "The future of work is here." Good: "Transcribe, summarize, and search any meeting in seconds." Keep it under 150 characters and be specific. ## Description Write your description for a skeptical user who has never heard of your tool. Cover: * What the tool does in plain language * Who it is for * What makes it different from alternatives * What the main use cases are Do not copy from your own website. FutureStack checks for this and it is a common rejection reason. ## Killer feature Pick the single most compelling thing about your tool. Examples that work well: * "No signup required" * "Works in your browser, no install needed" * "Free forever, no credit card" * "Processes 100-page PDFs in under 10 seconds" ## Category and role tags Choose the most accurate category and all relevant role tags. Role tags determine which users see your tool when they filter by profession. Getting these right is how you reach your actual target user. ## Pricing badge Be accurate. If you have a free tier, use Freemium. If it requires payment from day one, use Paid. Misleading pricing badges hurt your reviews. After making updates, share your listing link again. Users who passed on it the first time often convert after the listing is stronger. # Pricing and sponsorship Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/makers/pricing-and-sponsorship , - title: "Pricing & Sponsorship" description: "Learn about organic listings and paid sponsorship options to boost your tool's reach." , - # Pricing & Sponsorship FutureStack is committed to being an open and honest marketplace. Best Practices for Placement * **Above the Fold**: Place the badge where visitors can immediately spot it (e.g. in the top-right corner or right below your primary hero CTA). * **Launch Announcements**: Share the badge code in your launch newsletters, Slack community, or social posts. * **Keep it Organic**: The badge is designed to send users to your listing page where they must log in to upvote. Avoid attempting to automate clicks or votes using custom scripts; doing so will trigger our safety filters. # Manage preferences Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/newsletter/manage-preferences Change frequency, topics, or unsubscribe from FutureStack newsletters. ## Unsubscribe Click the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter email. When you log in, the system switches to your user ID. If the fingerprint and account do not match, the anonymous upvote may not carry over. To avoid this in future, log in before upvoting. ## The tool upvote count went down Upvote counts can decrease if: * Spam or bot votes were detected and removed by our filters * A user who upvoted the tool deleted their account * Votes from duplicate accounts were cleaned up This is intentional. Upvote counts on FutureStack reflect genuine community signal. ## You cannot upvote a tool Make sure you are logged in. If the upvote button is not responding, try a hard refresh with Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows or Cmd + Shift + R on Mac. If the problem persists, report it at [team.futurestack@gmail.com](mailto:team.futurestack@gmail.com) with the tool name and your browser. # Report a bug Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/troubleshooting/report-a-bug Help us fix issues on FutureStack, here's how to submit a great bug report. If something on FutureStack is broken, we want to know. ## How to report Email [team.futurestack@gmail.com](mailto:team.futurestack@gmail.com) with the subject line "Bug report" and include: * What you were trying to do * What happened instead * The URL of the page where it happened * Your browser and device (for example, Chrome on Windows or Safari on iPhone) * A screenshot if possible The more detail you include, the faster we can fix it. ## Common issues with quick fixes * **Page not loading**: try a hard refresh with Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows or Cmd + Shift + R on Mac * **Upvote not working**: make sure you are logged in and try refreshing * **Search returning no results**: try a shorter or different search term * **Login loop**: clear your browser cookies and try again ## Response time We aim to respond to bug reports within 24 hours and fix critical issues within 48 hours. # Submission issues Source: https://help.usefuturestack.com/troubleshooting/submission-issues What to do when your tool submission fails or gets rejected. ## The form will not submit Check that all required fields are filled in. The most commonly missed fields are the full description (minimum 150 words) and the logo upload. Also check that your website URL starts with https\://. ## Logo upload failed Try a smaller file. Logos should be PNG or JPG, square, and ideally 512x512px. Files larger than 2MB may fail. If the upload keeps failing, skip it for now and submit without a logo. You can add it later after approval. ## Duplicate warning If you see a message saying the tool may already be listed, search FutureStack for your tool name before submitting again. If it is already live, you can claim the listing instead. See [Claim Your Tool](/makers/claim-your-tool). ## No confirmation email Check your spam folder. If nothing arrives after 10 minutes, your submission still went through. Email [team.futurestack@gmail.com](mailto:team.futurestack@gmail.com) with your tool name to confirm. ## Submission rejected You will receive an email explaining the reason. Fix the issues mentioned and resubmit. See [Submission Guidelines](/submissions/submission-guidelines) for what we look for.
