FutureStack works because the community is honest. These guidelines exist to keep it that way.
For users
- Upvote tools you have actually used or found useful. Upvotes are a trust signal. Mass-upvoting tools you have never tried pollutes rankings for everyone.
- Write honest reviews. If a tool has problems, say so clearly and specifically. Vague praise is useless. Personal attacks on makers are not allowed.
- Do not create multiple accounts to upvote your own tools or manipulate rankings.
- No spam in discussions. Stay on topic. Do not post affiliate links or promotional content in community threads.
For makers
- Do not ask friends or communities to mass-upvote your tool. Coordinated upvote campaigns are detected and can result in your listing being removed.
- Keep your listing accurate. If your pricing changes or a feature is removed, update your listing.
- Do not submit the same tool multiple times under different names.
- Do not fake reviews. Creating accounts to leave positive reviews on your own tool is grounds for permanent removal.
Enforcement
Violations are handled in order of severity:
- Warning and content removal
- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent ban and tool delisting
